NEW ADDITIONAL INCOME-BASED HOMEOWNERS' CREDIT FOR ELDERLY APPLICANTS UP TO $200 HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THIS YEAR. WE WILL BEGIN ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS IN FEBRUARY 2011. PLEASE SEE THE SECTION ON TAX RELIEF FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
All businesses liable to pay taxes are required to bring in, between October first and November first, written or printed lists of the taxable personal property belonging to them on the first day of October in that year.
Failure to file said taxable list shall result in an addition of a twenty-five percent penalty of the tax due to the taxpayer.
All property is valued annually as of October 1st.

Assessment value equals 70% of appraisal value (full market value)
New London's Grand List is comprised of the assessed value of all real estate, motor vehicles and personal property. The October 1, 2011 Grand List net taxable assessment totaled $1,569,057,299
