The Ambulance Division provides the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to the citizens of New London. State certified Emergency Medical Technicians are assigned to this division and operate within the parameters and guidelines established by the Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services. In addition to providing a very active emergency medical service, ambulance crews also respond to fire and all other emergency calls, functioning as part of the teams involved in abating those emergencies, effectively providing two distinct services to the City. The Ambulance Division is currently staffed by 16 Firefighters/EMTs, manning two ambulances. |
