Transportation Committee
The Transportation Committee was established by City Council to discuss transportation issues facing the City.
Mission:
The City of New London Transportation Committee is hereby established by the New London City Council to act in an advisory capacity regarding transportation related matters for the City's legal traffic authority. The Committee will identify, review, hear and consider traffic safety and transportation matters referred to it by the City's Legal Traffic Authority. The Committee will make advisory recommendations regarding matters such as but not limited to: requests for handicapped parking, placement of stop signs, on street parking regulations, traffic light placement and/or improvements, requests for traffic calming measures, review of traffic studies, and improvements and to recommend transportation and parking policies.
Schedule:
The Transportation Committee would meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the first floor conference room in the Stanton Building [111 Union Street].

- Representative from the Neighborhood Alliance
- Traffic Safety Officer from the New London Police Department
- City Planner
- Fire Chief
- Representative from the Board of Education
