The New London Police Department Emergency Communications Section is responsible for receiving and dispatching emergency and routine calls for police, fire, and emergency medical services (EMS) within the City of New London.
We utilize a Computer-Aided Dispatch system that assists in receiving, tracking, and dispatching calls for service for police, fire, and EMS. We operate and Enhanced 911 Public Safety Answering Point for the City. This 911 system is integrated into the Computer-Aided Dispatch system to ensure accurate call entry and higher efficiency in response times to calls for service.
