RECORDS SECTION : OBTAINING A LOCAL CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECK
You may obtain a local criminal history record for a fee of $20.00. You must request this information from the New London Police Records Section at the address below. These requests are accepted Tuesday through Friday, from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
You must complete a request form to obtain this information. You will also need to provide a stamped self-addressed envelope addressed to the person whom you wish to receive the report and the appropriate fee ($20.00). Requests for criminal history information are generally processed within 10 working days.
The information provided will be for New London Police criminal history convictions only. For a full criminal history record, you need to contact the
Department of Public Safety.
Motor vehicle offense information is not reported by this department, but may be obtained from the
State of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles.
Juvenile records are not public information and will not be released. All record checks will be based on a Name and Date of Birth search only. Complete history information requires you to provide the department with any alias or maiden name information on the subject.
