The Senior Center is the focal point where older persons, as groups or individuals, can get together for services and activities. The primary role of the Center is to meet the needs by linking participants with resources offered by various provider groups. We strive to fulfill the wide-ranging needs of the young, old and healthy to the very old and at risk, addressing the needs of this group through general and specialized programs. These programs cover such areas as creative arts, education, health, leadership development, nutrition, computer skills, recreation social and other supportive services.

The Center is open weekdays from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm as a place to meet and congregate. It is also a meal site where TVCCA provides lunches for New London residents. Those 60 years and older are suggested to make a donation of $2.00 per lunch. Meal reservations are required 48 hours in advance of the day that you wish to receive the lunch. Lunches are served at 11:20 am.

The Center provides bus service to/from shopping centers and an escort service to/from medical facilities for our members. To utilize these services call 860-447-5230. Please have your Senior Center Identification Number by the telephone. If you need to cancel please call the office so that we can assist others.

The Senior Affairs Commission is the group appointed by the City Council to provide policy direction to the Center. The members meet monthly on the third Friday of the month in the Library of the Center. This is a public meeting where you can bring your ideas and suggestions for new programs and services
