What We Do

The Tax Division is responsible for the issuing of tax bills and the collection of all taxes (real estate, personal property and motor vehicles), and tax liens levied by the City.

Mill Rate

Mill Rate for Fiscal Year 2023 for Real Estate and Personal Property is 37.31

Mill Rate for Fiscal Year 2023 for Motor Vehicles is 32.46

City Center District Mill Rate Fiscal Year 2023 is 1.15

A Mill is 1/1000 of a dollar.
Taxes are computed by multiplying the assessed value of a property by the mill rate.
Example: Assessed Value of Property $200,000 Mill Rate 37.31
Therefore: $200,000 x .03731 = $7,462.00 annual tax
Or: $37.31 in taxes for every $1000 of assessment.
