Douangdara (stationed out of New London) and his K9 were killed-in-action in August of 2011 while serving in Afghanistan.  This American flag has been flown over every police department and military installation in the SE CT region as a tribute to Douangdara and will be presented to his family at an awards dinner in his honor in September.
